Over the past 24 years, I have had the privilege of calling Aurora home. During that time, I have witnessed firsthand what makes our community so special: people who step forward, give back without hesitation, and work tirelessly to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Among those individuals, Marco Di Girolamo stands out.

Whether through business, volunteerism, youth development, or sport, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to strengthening our community. His leadership extends far beyond professional success — it is measured by the lives he has influenced, the opportunities he has helped create, and the relationships he has built throughout Aurora.

As a respected business leader, Marco understands that flourishing local businesses are the foundation of a thriving community. He has long championed entrepreneurship, supported fellow business owners, and recognized that when local businesses succeed, our entire community benefits.

His commitment to Aurora, however, doesn't end when the workday is over.

On rugby fields across our town, he has devoted countless hours to coaching with the Aurora Barbarians Rugby Club, passing along the knowledge, discipline, and leadership that defined his own Hall of Fame playing career. More importantly, he has inspired young athletes to believe in themselves, embrace teamwork, and strive for excellence — lessons that will stay with them long after the final whistle.

That same passion for developing future leaders is reflected in his support of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce's Skilled Trades initiatives. By encouraging young people to explore rewarding careers in the trades, he continues to invest in the next generation, helping them discover opportunities, build confidence, and contribute to Aurora's future prosperity.

Leadership is not defined by titles. It is earned through service, integrity, and a willingness to put the community first. These are qualities I have seen demonstrated consistently over many years.

Aurora deserves leaders who listen, collaborate, and understand that building a stronger community means investing in its people. I believe Marco Di Girolamo brings those qualities to the Council table, and I am proud to offer my endorsement for his candidacy.

As a local business owner connected to the community, there are 3 attributes in a person that I consider when deciding who to vote for and represent our family at Town Council:

• Do they have business sense?
• Are they a leader?
• Do they share similar core and community values with myself and my family?

The name Marco Di Girolamo comes to the forefront.

For 25 years, Marco has run a successful electrical business, so he understands what rolling up your sleeves to make things happen means. He also knows the numbers.

As Captain of Team Canada's rugby team, Marco led the team in international competition, and is recognized as a leader both locally, nationally and world wide.

Marco and Pam have lived in Aurora for almost 20 years, raising their family, while being involved in the community of Aurora.

For me, Marco Di Girolamo ticks all the boxes for Ward 2, and Aurora.

We are proud to endorse Marco for Ward 2 Councillor. Throughout the years, Marco has consistently demonstrated his commitment to our community, not only through his involvement in local initiatives but also through his generous support of charitable causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.

As a successful businessman, Marco has earned the respect of colleagues and customers by leading with integrity, accountability, and a genuine concern for others. He has used his leadership and resources to give back, support local organizations, and help strengthen the community he proudly calls home.
